Group Class Structure and Values
Every class includes yoga nidra, or guided breathing, to help participants dial in to their breath and how their body is feeling. Warming up the joints and muscles ensures that by the time we get in to our first pose – we’re ready for it!
Classes are tailored for the participants, so whether you’re an experienced practitioner or at your very first class you’ll have options that suit you.

Our classes are designed to suit the whole class, so there’s just as much for advanced yoga practitioners as there is for the first time class attendee.
Yoga For Every Body
There are myriad benefits to developing a yoga practice and you don’t have to be flexible, slim, and able bodied to benefit.
Many students at Suryia Yoga have mobility restrictions, joint issues, and health concerns that mean they need a different approach – and we are always happy to provide them.
Maybe you’ve had a knee replacement and are no longer able to kneel, can barely touch your knees let alone your toes, or you feel out of place in a ‘fitness’ environment.
Here at Suriya Yoga, that’s absolutely fine because we feel that making the class fit you is part of being a good yoga instructor.
Whether it’s simply a matter of developing your strength and fitness or a permanent factor in your life, poses can be modified for your practice.
So, before your first class with us, drop in 15 minutes early and we can go through the things you need us to keep in mind.
